Dr. Mohammed Mossadegh, as premier, has dragged Iran into bankruptcy. The Shah dismisses him [false — he resigned]. The people gather into mobs shouting for Mossadegh. The Shah is forced by the people to bring back the Mossadegh who has been pulling their house down on their heads.
They riot and they riot, leaving us in a state of supreme puzzlement.
Oh, well, our own politics is peculiar enough, hard enough to fathom. The Persians will wrestle theirs.
