Archive of UN documents pertaining to the dispute between Britain and Iran over the nationalization of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company. At the request of Great Britain, which owned over 50% of AIOC, the case was brought before the Security Council in October 1951. In response, an Iranian delegation, led by Premier Mohammad Mossadegh, arrived in New York to attend the much-publicized sessions at Flushing Meadows.
