Author and historian Homa Katouzian argues that the Shah’s
dismissal of Premier Mossadegh and
appointment of Zahedi was illegal since the Majles (Parliament) was not yet dissolved. He adds that even if it was dissolved, the law called
for the formation of a new Majles, which would have played a role in the subject.
In the next video, Katouzian responds to former diplomat and writer Fereydoon Majlesi, who disagreed with him, by referring to the text of the constitution.
